A drug addict from Leeds has been imprisoned for bursting in to a 77-year-old woman's car with a broken wine bottle and trying to rob her purse.
David Hallas, 38, of Nepshaw Lane, Morley, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday for attempted robbery and threatening the woman with a weapon.
Fortunately the "confident and robust" pensioner told police officers that she had not let the incident impact her and had "got over it".
