Brave dog attack survivor has 'best day ever' as he's treated to Aston Martin birthday surprise

The young boy who suffered horror injuries after being attacked by a pitbull was treated to a VIP day in a plush James Bond-style car as he declared: “It’s the best day ever.”

The Irish Mirror teamed up with Ashford Motors and its owner Nadia Adan to give Alejandro Mizsan a special experience ahead of his 10th birthday tomorrow.

And his older brother Raul, 21, told us: “It has been the best day for Alejandro. It’s definitely one of the best experiences he has ever had.”

Yesterday, Alejandro’s family were left with tears in their eyes as Nadia drove into their estate in Enniscorthy, Co Wexford in a €180,000 Aston Martin.

The overjoyed lad hopped into the driver’s seat of the vehicle to rev the car as neighbours came out to see him.

Nadia also handed him his own MI5 Special Agent card which he proudly wore for the day.

From the estate, Nadia drove Alejandro in the Aston Martin to Wells House & Gardens near Gorey in Co Wexford as the car fanatic rang his friends on video call. In a Range Rover ahead, Alejandro’s brother Raul and father Ion Florin were also chauffeur driven to the grounds.

There, Alejandro posed for pictures with the Aston Martin before he went on a tour of the animal farm where he got to see rabbits, meerkats, raccoons, ferrets, pigs, budgies and chickens.

Nadia then drove Alejandro to the nearby Upton Court Hotel where there was an early celebration for his birthday as he had his favourite food, pizza with ham, before a birthday cake was brought out for him.

Asked about his experience, Alejandro told the Irish Mirror: “It’s the best day ever. I was in James Bond’s car and it’s an Aston Martin. I rang my friends and showed them the car I was in. And everyone was looking at us as we drove.”

Alejandro was playing on the green of his estate with some friends when a crazed pitbull attacked him on November 27.

He suffered life-changing injuries and was in Crumlin Children’s Hospital for seven weeks – spending Christmas and New Year’s there before he was released to go home on January 10.

Yesterday, Raul explained that it was Alejandro’s first day out and about since coming home.

He told the Irish Mirror: “We’re so thankful for this and for everything that people have done for us. And thank you to Nadia and Ashford Motors for an unforgettable day.”

Nadia says she read the Irish Mirror’s coverage of Alejandro’s attack and followed the story. And after learning that the boy loved cars, she felt she could step in and help. Businesswoman Nadia told the Irish Mirror: “I saw your story on
Facebook initially. I had been following it and what happened to Alejandro and obviously it was just terrible.

“And then I saw the other article which was more focused on a lot of car enthusiasts. That’s when I kind of went I can come in and do something.

“To get a car like this for a day is usually €5,000, but it’s something I can do for him.

“I’m just learning so much even being with him. Like something so horrific has happened to him – and we all go giving out about everything saying this and that is terrible.

“Actually what he has gone through is horrific. But the fact that he came out, jumped into the car and not a bother on him, he has so much confidence.”

Alejandro is still recovering from two surgeries but once he does, he will then have to go abroad to get more work done.
