Brandon Staley gave the saddest halftime interview after his Chargers got stomped by Raiders in first half

After the Los Angeles Chargers dropped one of the worst halves of any team in the NFL this season against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday Night Football, fans actually heard from L.A. coach Brandon Staley before half.

TNF sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung got an interview with Staley to ask him about the half of football that may ultimately cost him his job. To his credit, he was perfectly professional and gave a few stock answers.

This was a supremely sad interview, as Staley did the best he could to try and explain to all the viewers at home why his team was playing so poorly against the equally lackluster Raiders.

You never want to see someone get fired, but Staley’s tenure with Los Angeles might be coming to a close after a supremely disappointing 2023 season.

During the first half, his team just showed no fight against a division rival. That’s not good.

We’re not exactly sure what’s on the horizon for Los Angeles, but a game like this makes us think Staley won’t be there much longer.
