Brandon Ingram To Miss Two Weeks Due To Knee Injury

Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant (12) goes to the basket against New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram (14) in the first half of an NBA basketball game in New Orleans, Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023. (

New Orleans Pelicans' forward Brandon Ingram will be sidelined for at least the next two weeks after suffering a left knee injury during Thursday night's game against the Orlando Magic. The injury occurred when Ingram hyperextended his knee and had to be assisted off the court by his teammates.

An MRI revealed that Ingram has a bone contusion, prompting the Pelicans to announce that he will undergo a re-evaluation in two weeks to assess his recovery progress. This setback comes at a crucial time for the Pelicans as they aim to maintain their position in the competitive Western Conference.

Brandon Ingram, who is 26 years old, has been a key player for the Pelicans this season, averaging 20.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game. His absence will undoubtedly be felt on the court, as he has been a significant contributor to the team's success.

The New Orleans Pelicans currently hold the fifth spot in the Western Conference standings, and they will need to adjust their lineup and game plan in the absence of Ingram. The team will look to other players to step up and fill the void left by his injury as they continue their push for a playoff spot.

We wish Brandon Ingram a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the court soon, contributing to the Pelicans' success once again.
