Students at Brainworks International School in Yangon, Myanmar, have been actively participating in various environmental initiatives aimed at promoting a cleaner and greener city. This week, the students have been engaged in a range of activities focused on environmental conservation and sustainability.
One of the key activities undertaken by the students was a cleanup drive in nearby grassy areas. The students not only cleaned up the area but also took the initiative to plant trees, emphasizing the importance of environmental responsibility and community involvement.
In addition to the cleanup drive, the students also undertook various other activities to promote environmental awareness. This included creating posters, organizing special school assemblies, and working on class projects centered around the theme of recycling.
Furthermore, three students from the school created a video that explores different ways to adopt eco-friendly practices in daily life. The video highlights energy-saving techniques, the importance of recycling, and the benefits of tree planting. Through their video, the students aim to raise awareness about the role that young people can play in addressing environmental challenges.
One of the students featured in the video emphasized the importance of taking action at a young age, stating, 'We don’t need to wait until we are older to take action.' This sentiment reflects the proactive approach adopted by the students at Brainworks International School in promoting environmental sustainability.
