Bradley Walsh 'storms off' Blankety Blank as celeb contestant struggles with the rules

Blankety Blank host Bradley Walsh grew frustrated with one famous contestant over the weekend.

The presenter, 62, declared he was 'off' and 'stormed out' during one of the rounds on Saturday night [September 24], as celebrities Ellie Simmonds, Denise Van Outen, Chris Euban k, Frank Skinner, Vick Hope and Joey Essex joined him on the latest edition of the BBC show.

Retired boxer Chris, 56, appeared to struggle getting to grips with how the show worked at one point early on during the episode - leaving host Bradley flabbergasted and even storming off the set at one point due to Chris' inability to understand how to answer a question.

"My wife calls me puppy dog because whenever I get excited I...." Bradley put to the famous contestants for them to fill in 'the blank' on Saturday night's show.

Despite the show being a British staple since the late 70s, some of the panel seemed baffled during the round and asked Bradley to repeat the question.

Comedian Frank plumped for 'Urinate' as his answer, while Strictly's Ellie opted for 'Jump', but some of the other celebrities didn't have such logical guesses.

Former TOWIE star Joey wrote 'Blank' has his answer, asking Bradley: "Do you know what I am saying?"

The presenter seemingly did know what the reality TV star was getting at, replying: "Sort of, yeah."

It was Chris' question that seemed to push Bradley over the edge though, as the former sports star asked: "Is there an answer which is exact?"

"Let me explain something to you. My wife who is actually my wife never calls me puppy dog ever," Bradley began telling the confused celebrity contestant.

"The list I just read out is made up for the show called Blankety Blank."

This was no help to Chris, who went on to ask: "So there is no official answer?" - causing Bradley to walk off set saying: "I am off, I am off!"

Bradley returned eventually (BBC)

As the contestants, stars and audience erupted with laughter, Bradley returned saying: "I mean come on!"

Blankety Blank first aired back in 1979 and over the years has been hosted by Paul O'Grady's drag alter-ego Lily Savage and Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams.

As two contestants compete to be crowned the winner, the object of the game is to match the answers of as many of the six celebrity panellists as possible on fill-in-the-blank statements.

The Supermatch prizes consist of £500, £750, and prize worth over £750.

*Blankety Blank continues on BBC One on Saturday, October 1 at 8.45pm
