Going head-to-head with Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, Pearl was battling it out for £4,000 – but ended up leaving everyone in stitches with a move that was part blunder, part accidental genius.
The question seemed straightforward enough: “Which card game shares its name with a famous French manufacturer of fine crystal glassware?” The options were Baccarat, Canasta, and Piquet. But before the usual tense music could kick in and the timer start, Pearl blurted out: “Piquet!” right after Bradley read the options out loud, reported the Express.
