Former Premier League goalkeeper Brad Friedel has claimed Steven Gerrard would be a perfect fit as manager for an 'enormous' club like Leeds United.
The Whites are currently looking for a replacement to Jesse Marsch after the American was sacked on Monday afternoon following a string of poor results.
Various names have been thrown out as to who could take over the dugout at Elland Road, with the current favourite being current Feyenoord manager Arne Slot, but the former Aston Villa manager is someone that the Whites could really do with according to Friedel.

"For him, absolutely," Friedel told CasinoEnLigne. "Leeds is an enormous club. I have no idea what Leeds and their board want to do, but I think the world of Stevie G.
"Would that be a fit? If how he wants to play fits in with what the board wants to do, then it would be a fit. I’ve seen it go a completely different way and Mauricio Pochettino linked.
"He is one of the best I ever played for and learned from, it just depends on what the board wants to do. I’m not in those meetings, but so far I have seen a lot of names that would be excellent.
"Keeping your job as a manager in the Premier League is such fine margins, I spoke about it earlier but Leeds were the better team against Nottingham Forest and lost the game. If they win, Jesse Marsch is still in the job. That is how tricky it is."
