Patna: Educator Faizal Khan, also known as Khan Sir, was released from Patna's Gardanibagh Police Station after being detained during the protest staged by Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants in Patna on Friday.

The aspirants demanding that the BPSC declare in a written notification that there will be no normalisation in the preliminary test, which scheduled for December 13.
Several other protesters were also detained by the Bihar Police. The police also used batons against the protesting students.

According to reports, he was released on Friday night.

During the protest, the Educator told reporters, "This is not Mathematics. The examination is of General Studies, where questions cannot be quantified and it would be absurd to adopt normalisation. This can prevent many deserving students from clearing the prelims."

"Just a week is left. How unfortunate is this that we need to protest for our demand on the land of Chanakya and that too, just one week before the prelims," he added.
