VISAKHAPATNAM: With no arrests made yet and alleging police harassment of victim by registering cases, family members of a 17-year-old-student, who was allegedly branded as a thief and thrashed mercilessly by a group of YSRC party activists, staged a protest in front of the Fourth-Town police station in Vizag city on Saturday.

As per reports, a 17-year-old-boy N Ravi Kiran, a resident of Akkayyapalem in the city, failed to clear some papers of the first-year intermediate course. Suspecting that his parents may be scolded for failing the examination, he entered inside an abandoned car to hide himself from family near his home on Wednesday night.
