A little boy who was mentally and physically scarred after stepping on a disposal barbecue at a beach has found the courage to walk on sand again unaided. Two years ago, Will Tyler, 11, had to have skin grafts from his right thigh to his left foot after stepping on an extremely hot piece of sand at Formby beach.
Due to the horrific episode, Will has been left with lifelong scars and suffered severe mental trauma, including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Until recently, Will had to wear special UV shoes to protect his skin from the scorching temperatures.
