A mum has spoken of her world being "broken in half" after she was delivered the devastating news that her son had a rare cancer - on his sixth birthday.
Mum Alexandra Jones, 29, from Huyton, noticed "two lumps" on her "little superhero" Leighton's head in April this year, leading her to take the youngster to a walk-in treatment centre.
However, the two times she took him for examination, she was told that Leighton was fine and that there was nothing to worry about.
