Boy George was absent from Wednesday morning’s instalment of Good Morning Britain following his axe from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! the previous night.
The pop icon became the latest star eliminated from the ITV reality show and the first man to walk the rope bridge to Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
However, unlike the axed stars before him, Boy George failed to make a press appearance on ITV’s daytime shows the following morning.
Scarlette Douglas and Sue Cleaver appeared on Good Morning Britain from sunny Australia, while Charlene White spoke with her co-hosts in the Loose Women studio.
Yet the Karma Chameleon hitmaker was nowhere to be seen on ITV on Wednesday, becoming the first not to fulfil the media obligation.
An I'm A Celebrity insider said: "It is thought Boy George won't do his first interview until he gets back to UK next week.
"The singer has teased he has lots to say so fans will be waiting for what's sure to be an explosive run down of his time in camp in full."
The 61-year-old singer was named in the bottom two along with radio DJ Chris Moyles, 48, after the public had cast their votes.
In his exit interview, the pop star said: “I am sort of ready. I had an amazing time and I've done a lot of things I thought I'd never do. I'm excited to see my sister.”
George described his time in the jungle as ‘beautifully challenging’ and ‘somewhat enlightening’, saying it had allowed him to go on an ‘inner journey’.
On how he managed to keep himself sane in the camp, he said: “I had to forget who I was the whole time I was in here, I had to let it go. I just had to get over it. I just had to say, ‘I'm in the jungle, I've had no control.’”
He added: “Being really honest, I am happy to go today. It's not something I thought I would ever do but it's a lot tougher than I thought.
“I think it really makes you appreciate what you have and the people that you love.”
The musician said he would like to see former rugby player Mike Tindall or Lioness Jill Scott win.
Of Mike, he said: “He's been the most stoic, he's done the most. I think he's much wilder than he lets on,” before concluding: “I think Mike or even Jill.”
The 1980s music icon is reported to have bagged an eye-watering £500,000 for his stint in the jungle.
His goddaughter Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace said she was not surprised the singer agreed to appear on the ITV show, insisting he deserves the huge cheque given his stature as a global artist.
Regardless of the challenges, the life-changing experiences, the friends made, and the personal tests conquered, Aisleyne has said that it was the money that won Boy George over.
