Boy George's feud with Hancock heats up as tensions rise in camp after disastrous trial

Boy George has continued to insist he "can't connect" with Matt Hancock following the disgraced MP's late arrival to I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.

And Tuesday evening's poor showing on the trial - the stars only won three meals for camp - seemed to cement his views.

Singer George, 61, as well as other campmates, fumed when Hancock, 44, first arrived but he seems to slowly be winning the celebs round - except for the former Culture Club musician.

Over the past two nights, viewers of the hit ITV show have watched Hancock get grilled about fellow politicians Lizz Truss and new PM Rishi Sunak.

It led to George admitting he found the former Health Secretary "very hard to warm to". In his comments, Hancock revealed he thought Truss' political career was over, while he adamantly stated Sunak would still be leading the country when the series was over.

George took to the camp lookout with Sue Cleaver, 59, and told her: "I find him very hard to warm to. Everyone else I feel connected to in a kind of… without having to know the ins and outs of who you are."

Responding, Sue said: "You’ve got an economist in a camp with a load of creatives. He’s maths all the way, he uses a different side of his brain. Do you know what I mean?"

The pop icon's latest comments come after he became emotional during Hancock's debut show. At the time, George discussed how he felt he would have walked if his mum had died when she was in hospital during the pandemic.

He told the Bush Telegraph: "I don't really know what to do with my feelings. You know, today was obviously quite emotional for me.

"I don't know what it's going to be like, I don't know whether I....I actually don't really know if I want to be here."

It was Sue at the time who had a word in the singer's ear to encourage him to stay.

On Tuesday's episode meanwhile, Boy George, Babatúndé Aléshé and Chris Moyles had an awful outing in the latest Bushtucker Trial titled Angel of Agony.

The trio were unable to follow in Hancock's footsteps in gaining a large number of stars and instead managed just three meals for camp.

Fans of the show were quick to call out Gogglebox's Babatúndé for having an "absolute nightmare" in his bid to keep the camp's bellies full.
