Boy George has accused some of his I'm A Celebrity co-stars of 'sly bitching' about Matt Hancock, alleging that there is a lot of sniping going on behind the former Health Secretary's back that he is completely oblivious to.
Given that he was tipped to do rather well in the jungle when the line-up for the new series was announced, it came as something of a surprise that Culture Club icon George was the fourth star to leave in the public vote, after receiving the lowest number of votes on Tuesday night.
He took his exit well and, as soon as he was back at his Australian hotel, gave an update to his fans on how he was feeling, writing: ""Eating pizza and watching #FIFAWorldCup replay after a lovely long shower. Thanks for all the amazing messages. The love always transcends the negativity. This b*tch still gives great headline. I have seen them all and laughed heartily!"
I'm A Celebrity continued on Wednesday night, as Babatunde Aleshe became the fifth star to get his marching orders and, as viewers settled down to watch the latest instalment, Karma Chameleon singer Boy George had a few things to say about the campmates treatment of Matt.

Taking to Twitter as it was reported he'd been 'denied' a return to the UK by ITV bosses, he wrote: "There was lot’s of sly bitching about @MattHancock but I told him to stand up for himself and par boil the potatoes to make chips! I was also the driving force behind the Ostritch omlette. Lol!"
Responding to his post, one fan replied: "I noticed that you did stick up for him, just not in the beginning, however, you seem like a moral guy & I am sure it was difficult not to be swayed by the herd in there. I bet it feels surreal that he is so popular & that you've come out of camp into an alternative universe."
While he did speak behind Matt's back as the MP made a late entrance in the first week, George did then confront him face to face on how he was feeling, in a rather awkward exchange.
He told Matt: "I have been hating on you, I have to be honest. I sometimes feel like you don’t say what you mean and you’re not particularly direct.”
He went on: "I’m trying to separate you as a human being and you as a politician and I’m struggling with it. We don’t share the same politics. I am struggling a little bit with you. That’s not your problem, that’s my problem. I apologise because I was really sl**ging you off a minute ago.”
