Boy, four, died after losing control of his cousin's mini motorbike

A young boy died after crashing into a metal pole after losing control of his cousin's mini-motorbike. Lennox Railton-Craggs, who was just four years of age, had jumped on the front of the new bike and pulled a lever causing it to accelerate.

The inquest into his death heard Lennox started to come off his seven-year-old cousin's vehicle and hit a pole in the ground near his home in Bishop Auckland, County Durham. It concluded that the little boy died in an accident that "that happened very quickly and spontaneously and before anybody could prevent it," ChronicleLive reports.

The hearing at Durham and Darlington Coroner's Court, heard how his father chased after the children's motorbike, picked Lennox up and took him to his home on Elliott Terrace. His cries for his mother turned to moans and he collapsed.
