Boy believes he was reincarnated as he has a perfect memory of life as a Hollywood star

Ryan Hammond from Oklahoma, USA, believes that he was an esteemed Hollywood movie star in a past life.

The young boy first made the claim back in 2015 when he was 11 years old, stating that he was the reincarnation of a man who had passed away 40 years before he was born.

According to The Sun, he has vivid memories of living in Hollywood during the 1940s and even explained in detail how he had died, claiming he remembered his heart "exploding" - and then going towards the light.

His wild claims noticeably shocked his parents, and soon made national press in the US as the family appeared on daytime TV multiple times.

While reincarnation has never been proved by scientists, accounts of the afterlife continue to be studied at length.

In his claims, the young boy stated that he was once Marty Martyn; a former movie extra and a powerful Hollywood agent.

The acclaimed star once lived a life of luxury in New York City with a host of famous friends and married four times throughout his life.

He died in 1964 at the age of 61 from a brain haemorrhage.

However, when Ryan was just three years old, he began to recall in detail of his supposed past life as Marty.

The boy, who was born in 2004, told his parents, a county deputy clerk and a police officer that he was in Hollywood when his heart exploded, and he would often wake up in the night clutching his chest or shouting 'action' in his dreams.

Ryan also once asked his mother to take him to Hollywood to visit his 'other family' and made claims of owning a Rolls Royce.

One evening, he even told his mum that when someone dies, they need to go towards the light to make it into the afterlife.

In an effort to prove that Ryan had been reincarnated, a documentary crew who had heard about the youngster set up a meeting between Ryan and Marty's daughter.

When the pair met, Ryan was confused as to why the woman was no longer a girl and they toured a number of places in Los Angeles that were associated with the former movie star.

On the trip, Marty's daughter confirmed a number of the child's claims.

One child psychiatrist named Dr Jim Tucker believed Ryan and his bizarre memories.

The psychiatrist has spent many years studying children who recall intimate memories, much like 11-year-old Ryan.

"The world just doesn't work as we think or assume it does. The cases I have examined don't come under a normal explanation of how we perceive the world," Dr Tucker said.

Over time, Ryan's memories of Marty's life began to fade but he still shares many personality similarities with the Hollywood star, including his love for New York City and movies.
