A boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged rape which took place in Johnstone on Saturday night.
The alleged incident to have taken place around 10.30pm on April 29 on a farm road near to Napier Street in the town.
Police were called to the scene following reports that a young woman had been seriously sexually assaulted.
Police Scotland has now confirmed a male youth had been arrested in connection with the alleged incident.

Officers say their enquiries are ongoing and have urged anyone with any information to contact them as soon as possible.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “At around 10.20pm on Saturday, officers were called to a report of a male youth having serious sexually assaulted a female youth on a farm road near to Napier Street in Johnstone.
“A male youth has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
“Anybody with any information should contact Police via 101 quoting incident number 3803 of Saturday, 30 April, 2022.”
