A child riding a bike was assaulted by an unknown man in Yate. The nine-year-old fell to the ground after the incident outside a convenience store in Abbotswood on Friday, November 4.
Fortunately, the boy did not suffer any physical injuries but was left "extremely upset" by the incident. A police officer visited his family to check on his welfare last week, and extra high-visibilty patrols are planned over the coming days.
The suspect is described as white, male, about 50-60 years old, of large build and with receding short grey hair. He was wearing glasses, a blue rain jacket and light blue jeans.
