A seven-year-old boy was rushed to hospital after falling 30ft onto a stone path at a popular beauty spot near Bolton.
Emergency service workers and mountain rescuers were scrambled to the scene at the Rivington Terraced Gardens, near Rivington Pike, yesterday afternoon (Monday). The youngster 'tumbled 30 feet down steep ground' below a bridge, before landing on a stone path.
After being rescued, he was rushed to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital from the scene in an ambulance. The air ambulance was also called to the scene.
