Boy, 4, made promise to sister before she died - and kept it for 13 years

Alex Kunda has never missed a day of school in his life.

His parents even offered to take him to Disney World in an effort to thwart his perfect attendance record.

But the high school senior is resolute - and it's not just because he loves to learn.

The Georgia, US, schoolboy has reportedly shown up to school every day since kindergarten, despite his parents' worries he was putting too much pressure on himself - because he promised his sister he would.

His older sister Miranda died in 2006 from autoimmune disease when Alex was just four, reports CBS News .

"This was the one promise I remembered making to her. And I can't make any more promises to her in person, anymore. So the one promise I did make, I was going to keep it," he told the network.
