Boy, 16, stabbed in Bromley town centre machete attack

A 16-year-old is said to have been stabbed with a machete after a fight broke out in Bromley town centre.

Police and paramedics were scrambled to Bromley High Street shortly after 3pm on Sunday, to reports of a fight.

A Met spokesperson said: “It was reported that one of the group was armed with a machete.”

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with stab injuries. His condition is not life-threatening or life-changing.

Nobody has yet been arrested in connection with the incident.

Footage taken in the aftermath of the incident on Sunday showed part of A222 Widmore Road taped off with police stationed inside the cordon, and what appears to be blood on the floor.
