Boxing fans appear to believe Jake Paul would comfortably beat Tommy Fury if the pair were to reschedule their doomed fight after watching the Brit's comeback this evening.
Fury dominated 10-1 Polish challenger Daniel Bocianski on the undercard of his brother Tyson's world heavyweight title defence against Dillian Whyte. And immediately after his brutal, if uninspiring win over the Pole, the Love Island star took to the microphone to call out his rival for a big-money pay-per-view fight.
But supporters watching online appeared unconvinced about Fury's ability to beat the American, despite his more impressive 8-0 professional record and famed boxing pedigree. The Brit was touched on a number of occasions by Bocianski's looping shots, and the consensus on Twitter appeared to be that if Paul were in there, he could land a knockout blow.
"Jake Paul would smash Tommy Fury’s head in," read one comment, while another added that "Jake Paul beats Tommy Fury easily tbh." Other fans were even more confident, saying "I don't think Jake Paul has anything to worry about, if and, when he faces Tommy Fury."
There were a series of tweets predicting a Paul KO, with one tweeting "Tommy fury would get sparked out by Jake Paul... Oh dear," and another adding "Yeah Tommy Fury has no chance against Jake Paul."
Some believed that Fury's boxing pedigree would be enough, having started boxing as an amateur much earlier in life than Paul. "Tommy Fury is not a fantastic boxer," said one fan. "But he is a boxer, and is still only 22, been doing it his whole life.
"Jake Paul is a b****** YouTuber who has fought 4 non-boxers. I personally don't think Jake Paul could beat him, but we will see I suppose."

Fury quickly called out Paul after the fight, saying: "I just have one thing to say, Jake Paul - this should have been done a long time ago in December and if you want it I'm here and I'm ready for you. I'll cut you and chop you to bits just like I did there, get the contract signed you bum, let's get it done once and for all.
"That lad in there would have killed Jake Paul, that lad is a true professional. He was cut to bits, still in there giving me everything that he had, he'd slap Jake Paul and it'd be over. Jake Paul, I'm going to end your career, you're a bum and you're no good. Let's get this fight done and get this settled."
However, Paul hit back quickly, dismissing Fury's challenge. “Congrats on beating a 10-1 fighter," Paul told Ariel Helwani after the fight. "But that stadium was empty. When I fight the stadium is full. When Tommy fights no one gives a f***. And that’s in his home country. Let’s see how Anderson Silva’s event does.”
