It is Christmas, meaning that many people will be winding down with loved ones to celebrate the festive period.

But for supermarket and shop workers, it's currently the busiest time of the year.

Typically, Boxing Day saw millions of shoppers all over the UK rush out to their nearest stores to try and grab a bargain in the sales. But in recent years, several large chains have announced they won't be opening on December 26, to give their employees some well-deserved rest.

M&S, Waitrose, Aldi and Iceland are just some of the stores that will remain shut on Boxing Day this year, so it's worth keeping track so that you don't get caught out if you need to pop to the shops on that day.

Here's a round-up of each place that won't be open on December 26 in Scotland.
