Bowman Gray Stadium will host a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in 2027. The historic North Carolina short track has hosted the pre-season Clash exhibition race with the NASCAR Cup Series for the past two years, but it hasn't been the site of points-paying national-level NASCAR race since 1971. The Clash is set to move back to Daytona next year.
The Trucks have never raced at the 0.250-mile Bowman Gray Stadium, and it's going to be quite the spectacle. While no format has been specified, the track is too small to accommodate a full field of 36 trucks, so it's likely that heat races or something similar will be utilized to set the starting lineup for the main event.
