There are number of warning signs of bowel cancer which researchers said can show two years before diagnosis.
Bowel cancer is the fourth most common type of cancer in the UK, with around 43,000 new cases every year, according to Cancer Research UK. A new study identified four "red flag" bowel cancer symptoms, which can be seen in patients under 50, months before diagnosis, reports the Express.
The disease is the second most deadly, causing almost 17,000 deaths a year and accounts for around 11% of all new cancer cases. More than half of bowel cancer cases (54%) in the UK are thought to be preventable.
