Bournemouth are working on a move to snap up Cardiff City striker Kieffer Moore.
The Cherries are understood to have shown a keen interest in the Wales striker, whose future at the Cardiff City Stadium now looks increasingly uncertain.
Moore, who netted 20 goals in the Championship last season, was the subject of interest from Wolves over the summer, only for the Premier League outfit to baulk at Cardiff's £10m price tag.
That valuation is, according to sources, likely to be much lower this time around, although an exact figure remains unclear at this stage.
There's similarly little clarity on how far along the Cherries are with any potential pursuit, although club insiders have seemingly played down the prospect of an imminent exit.
Nevertheless, talk over a potential exit for the 29-year-old has continued to gather pace.
The news will likely come as a blow to Steve Morison, who has frequently batted away any talk of Moore departing this window.
"Ultimately, every window it is a conversation," Morison said when quizzed on speculation recently.
"It’s just something that’s made up in the press, because until someone gives us an actual phone call, it feels like a bit of a pointless conversation.
"We keep having the same conversation and nothing ever changes. As far as I’m concerned, Kieffer hasn’t knocked on my door or an agent hasn’t phoned me up, or the board.
"Chris Wood signs for Newcastle and everyone will be telling me he is going to Burnley tomorrow.
"Someone puts it on social media and it causes an unnecessary storm."
