An enthusiastic Glasgow dog is looking for the ideal place to call home.
Asher, a one-year-old American Bulldog, is a young boy full of energy who was handed to Dogs Trust in January due to his owner’s change in circumstances.
The happy pooch looks forward to making new friends, whether they have two or four legs, but he does need help when managing his excitability levels.

Asher has shown some grabbing and mouthy behaviours at the centre, so he does need someone who is willing to help him through these stressful situations. Due to this and his size, he would be best suited to a multi-person, adult-only household with people who are experienced handling these behaviours.
The pooch is always looking to learn some new tricks and loves playing.
Staff in the training and behaviour team at Dogs Trust Glasgow have witnessed a massive improvement in Asher's behaviour.
Dogs Trust’s Training Behaviour Advisor, Dave Martin, who has been working with Asher, said: “When Asher arrived, we saw some challenging behaviours from him.
"We have been working on this and he has blossomed into a happy, playful dog who loves to use his boundless energy to play with dogs and people alike. We are looking for someone who wants to carry on his journey and have lots of fun in the process with Asher’s continued training. He’s a great dog and we are confident some lucky person will fall in love with him just as much as we have at Dogs Trust Glasgow.”
Sandra Downie, Dogs Trust Glasgow Rehoming Centre Manager added: “Asher is a big, friendly lad who is enthusiastic about everything in life.
"He has some tricks up his sleeve already and he thrives when he is enjoying the hustle and bustle of life – socialising and engaging his brain. He requires an adult-only home with active adopters who won’t leave him home alone for long periods of time as we think he could potentially struggle with this.
"Time being left alone will require to be built up gradually. He could live in a home with another dog of a similar nature as there will be lots of playing going on. With Asher’s good looks and friendly personality, we hope it won’t be long before he finds the one and bounds off to his forever home.”
