Youngsters at Bothwell's Montessori nursery have been celebrated in a special graduation event.
Twenty children enjoyed a fun filled graduation ceremony and party complete with balloons, music, snacks, gowns and caps as they said farewell to their nursery teachers as they move on to their new journey at primary school.
The event also saw proud parents, family and friends enjoy a special raffle on the day with all proceeds raise being donated to the Alzheimer Scotland charity.
Nursery teacher Miss Sinead was extremely proud of the children and told Lanarkshire Live : "We would like to congratulate our pre-school children in graduating from Bothwell Montessori Nursery School. All your teachers wish you every success at primary school.
"We are also delighted to say that our graduation day raffle raised £342 which has been donated to Alzheimer Scotland.
"Thank you to everyone who contributed. We shall miss you all."
Montessori Nursery, on Bothwell's Main Street, often support charities through special events during the year and have contributed significantly to the Hamilton Advertiser's Toy Appeal over the years. They have also made donations to Viewpark Foodbank in connection with Bothwell and Uddingston Wonderful Window Project and to SAMH – Scottish Association for Mental Health among others.
