Celtic have confirmed the transfer exit of Bosun Lawal to Stoke City.
The 21-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the English Championship club after an undisclosed fee was agreed between the clubs.
Lawal - a Republic of Ireland under-21 internationalist - had spent last season on loan at Fleetwood and was involved in pre-season with the Celtic first-team.
However, he has now joined Stoke City after being tracked by sporting director Jonathan Walters for several years.
Discussing his move, Lawal told the Stoke City website: “The Club is massive, it didn’t need selling to me, but when I spoke to Glenn Whelan and Charlie Adam, who coached me for Ireland and Fleetwood, what they said about Stoke City really excites me for my journey here.
“The gaffer and Jon are full of ambition and that really attracted me, they want to take the Club back to the highest level.
“I witnessed the electric atmosphere in the stadium first-hand on Saturday, which was so enjoyable to watch.
“I can’t wait to be out there experiencing that myself in the not-too-distant future and to enjoy long term success here at Stoke City.”

Stoke City sporting director Walters added: “Bosun is a player who I've followed closely for a number of years.
“After competing with several top clubs, we are proud to have secured his signature.
“Our ambitions are perfectly aligned, and we believe he possesses all the attributes to reach the very top of the game.
“He is not only a fantastic addition to our squad but also a key part of our long term vision for the Club.
“We’re confident that his talent and drive will make a significant impact as we look to achieve our goals together.”
A Celtic statement confirmed: "Bosun Lawal has joined Stoke City on a permanent transfer.
"Good luck, Bosun!"
It comes after Brendan Rodgers had warned Lawal had to do more to make a breakthrough at Celtic while discussing possible first -team roles for Odin Thiago Holm and the 21-year-old.
He had said: "So I think the two boys that we mentioned have talent but I want more... a lot more.
"If you have talent you can play in teams, but not on our team."
