Boston’s Jayson Tatum left heartbroken after struggles in Celtics’ loss to Denver

The high of blowing out the Golden State Warriors last week did not last long for star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, with Boston dropping a close road contest to the reigning champion Denver Nuggets for the second time this season on Thursday night.

In fact, it might even have induced a bit of hubris on the Celtics’ part, with Boston coming out unfocused and unready for a team of the Nuggets caliber. Speaking to the media postgame, it was clear that the loss had gotten to the St. Louis native, with Tatum clearly upset with himself for how the game had gone for the Celtics.

Senior NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith and the rest of ESPN’s “First Take” crew weighed in on Tatum’s reaction to the loss after the game ended.

Check it out in the clip embedded above.
