Boston’s Jayson Tatum becomes the youngest Celtic to 10,000 points vs. Nets

All-NBA Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum hit a major career milestone on Saturday evening vs. the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center, becoming the youngest player in the nearly eight-decade history of the Celtics organization according to the ball club’s official social media stats account.

The St. Louis native hit that lofty mark in the first half of the road tilt against the Nets with virtually no fanfare on the call. The deed was done with Tatum currently 25 years and 246 days old, putting him ahead of another Boston great, Employee No. 8 — better known to younger Celtics fans as former Boston forward Antoine Walker.

Cybertoine — another of his several nicknames — managed the feat almost a full year older at exactly 26 years and 131 days old.

Somehow, we have the feeling that the Duke alum might be setting a few more records soon if not this season.
