The 2023 NBA offseason could very well bring duck boats and victory parades for the Boston Celtics if they are successful in pursuit of their long-coveted Banner 18. But it will also bring something else — whether the Celtics win it all this time or end up back on the wrong side of the box score.
With the offseason will come free agency, and the Celtics have a medium-high risk of losing a key player in it according to Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley. The B/R analyst notes that despite a diminished role with the team and his status as a restricted free agent Grant Williams could still end up decamping.

We are more skeptical of a team using cap space above and beyond what Boston would be willing to offer the Charlotte native given his import as a potential trade chip as his value on the court.
