With the elevation of former assistant coach Joe Mazzulla to head coach of the Boston Celtics last season came his trademark style of play that focuses on the 3-point shot above all else. The offensive philosophy some have dubbed “Mazzulla ball” given its architect’s predilection for offense from beyond the arc.
With that jump-shooting offensive philosophy an integral part of the Celtics’ approach to basketball in their 2022-23 campaign, it ought not to surprise anyone to see Boston as one of the teams included in a new video dedicated to cataloging, as the NBA bills it, the 25 wildest made shots of the 2022-23 season.
In said compilation, there are also a few examples of especially painful makes against the Celtics as well, so be forewarned that a fair dose of discomfort may accompany the sizzling bucket made by Boston near the end of the clip.
