After securing their eighth consecutive victory by defeating the New York Knicks 116-102 at Madison Square Garden, the Boston Celtics have established an impressive eight-game lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference standings. This significant margin surpasses the gap between the Western Conference-leading Minnesota Timberwolves and the eighth-seeded Phoenix Suns by one game.
The Celtics, despite their league-leading performance thus far with a record of 45-12, remain focused on reaching higher levels of play. Center Al Horford emphasized the team's commitment to continuous improvement, acknowledging the challenges posed by injuries to other Eastern Conference teams.
