Chelsea could sign their dream signing for free this month as they look to convince Borussia Dortmund starlet Youssoufa Moukoko to join them. The 18-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and can now negotiate a pre-contract for the summer with Todd Boehly hopeful of landing the striker as part of his ever-growing portfolio of talent.
The Blues have made made quite a start to securing some of the best young players around having committed to a potential £40million outlay on Cesare Casadei and Carney Chukwuemeka over the summer. Omari Hutchinson also chose to join from Arsenal.
Moukoko would be the biggest coup of them all though due to his first-team standing. He has become a mainstay in the Dortmund side this season and has scored six times in 14 games with three assists in just eight starts. He has established himself in the side in Europe too, featuring in all six Champions League group stage games.

Chelsea face Dortmund in the last 16 round of the Champions League but are attempting to have a deal in place before the tie. Sporting director Sebastian Kehl has pushed for a resolution to his situation, though. Having been reported as a target for Boehly in November, there has been over six weeks since then with his decision no clearer.
"Of course we want to make the decision in a timely manner," Kehl said. "It is important for everyone involved to have clarity." Dortmund is Moukoko's boyhood club, having risen through the ranks as a junior in incredible goalscoring style, but faces an issue with extending his deal in Germany.
Given his remarkable form through the Dortmund academy Moukoko is attracting lots of attention including from Barcelona and Liverpool, with recent reports from Spain suggesting that Xavi's side are in pole position, though Moukoko himself has rubbished that he is making £6million-per-year contract demands.
With Armando Broja injured for the rest of the season Chelsea are looking for a new striker and may well wish to ramp up their efforts to secure one of the shining stars of European football before it gets too late. Boehly is getting used to this way of working having made a monster £106million for Enzo Fernandez in order to secure him ahead of the chasing pack.
