Boris Yeltsin’s son-in-law Valentin Yumashev ‘quits role as Kremlin adviser’

Valentin Yumashev, the son-in-law of former Russian leader Boris Yeltsin who helped Vladimir Putin come to power, has quit his role as a Kremlin adviser, Reuters reported on Monday night.

The agency said it had been told of Mr Yumashev’s departure by two people familiar with his thinking.
