Boiris Johnson has again urged Vladimir Putin to step back from what Downing Street described as the “grave possibility” of an invasion of Ukraine.
On a whistle-stop visit to Scotland the Prime Minister called for a united western sanctions response the threat of war and called for more dialogue to avoid a “disastrous” invasion.
Johnson said: “This is a very, very dangerous, difficult situation, we are on the edge of a precipice but there is still time for president Vladimir Putin to step back.”
