Boris Johnson has lashed out at the Privileges Committee after they warned him he faced being kicked out of Parliament for misleading MPs over Partygate.

The disgraced former PM announced tonight he would quit as the MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip immediately before they published their report.

He said he was "bewildered and appalled that I'm being forced out".
