
Boris Johnson’s right-hand man has denied the prime minister is a liar and described him as a man of "honour".
But Labour’s Lisa Nandy said the PM was only “sorry that he got caught”, while the chair of the Commons standards committee Chris Bryant said that Mr Johnson’s response showed him to be “blind to his own failings”.
