The nation's favourite Geordie-jokers are returning to present a new series of Britain's Got Talent, due to start on April 16 at 8pm, and in a promotional teaser clip the duo appear to have a little dig at UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson.
As Dec prepares to take to the road on a bike he fastens up his crash helmet as co-presenter pal Ant says to his pal: "That's like Boris Johnson's helmet, you know when he went down the zip wire?" and then the edit then cuts to Dec's face super-imposed on to the footage of Boris Johnson, as the then Mayor of London, zooming across a zipwire to celebrate Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Ant continues to tease Dec in the clip saying: "And I though I would look the idiot in this scene." Ant and Dec are well-used to making digs at the PM. During the last series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, the pair used their nightly show-introductions to make fun of the party-gate scandal which was breaking news at the time.

During one episode they mocked the PM's Peppa Pig "forgive me" speech to the CBI and the presenting duo took another swipe with Dec asking: "What exactly does the leader (of the I'm a Celebity camp) do?" to which Ant replied: "They look increasingly dishevelled, give cushy jobs to their mates, and pretty much make it up as they go along." Dec then leant forward to the camera and said with a cheeky grin: " a mischievous grin and said: "Evening, Prime Minister."
This is the second dig at the PM in 24 hours as actor Dan Steven's took a swipe on BBC's The One Show last night (April 13). The former Downton Abbey star was promoting his upcoming show, which will tell the story of the President Nixon and the infamous Watergate scandal of 1972 when speaking to presenters Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas, he was asked to explain the premise of the show and seized his chance.
Dan said: "Well, what you’ve got is a criminal for a leader who is wrapped in a messy war, embroiled in a stupid scandal and surrounded by ambitious idiots and really should resign," he said, before pausing briefly. He then continued: "I’m sorry that’s the intro to Boris Johnson."
