Boris Johnson calls Vladimir Putin 'evil' for Russia's invasion of Ukraine

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said Russian President Vladimir Putin is "evil" because of his invasion of Ukraine. Russian forces invaded Ukraine on February 24 in a war which continues to shock the globe.

Speaking at the Nato summit in Madrid today (June 29), Mr Johnson told GB News: "I think that what he (Putin) has done is evil." Asked if Mr Putin himself was evil, Mr Johnson said: "I think it probably follows that if you are what you do, then certainly.

"It's been an appalling act of unwarranted aggression against the innocent population. And it's very rare in life, in politics and diplomacy when you see something that is so absolutely black and white, something so clear, and it's very interesting listening to colleagues around the table.
