Border Crisis: Illegal Immigrants Armed with Guns Pose National Security Threat

Highest November on record for encountering migrants at the border.

Record High Number of Migrants Encountered at U.S.-Mexico Border Raises National Security Concerns

In a shocking development, the U.S.-Mexico border has witnessed an alarming surge in migrant encounters, reaching a record high in the month of November. With a staggering 250,000 migrants encountered, this marks the highest November on record and the third highest month in history.

Pinal County, Arizona Sheriff and U.S. Senate candidate, Mark Lamb, expressed his concerns about the situation during a recent interview. He emphasized the urgent need to secure the border to prevent further illegal immigration. Sheriff Lamb proposed adopting the policies implemented during the Trump era, including the restoration of the 'Remain in Mexico' program.

According to Sheriff Lamb, a majority of the migrants present false asylum claims, resulting in delayed court dates scheduled for 5 to 7 years in the future. This backlog leads to a potential mass deportation scenario when judges determine the lack of legitimate asylum claims. Restoring border security would not only prevent such situations but also combat the flow of lethal drugs such as fentanyl and weaken the control of the cartels.

One incident that highlights the seriousness of the current border crisis involves an illegal immigrant crossing the border armed with a gun. This shocking occurrence occurred in Eagle Pass, Texas, and poses a significant national security threat. Border Patrol agents, overwhelmed at both Eagle Pass and Lukeville locations, were unable to respond promptly to apprehend this armed individual.

The situation along the U.S.-Mexico border has reached critical levels, as evidenced by the presence of thousands of migrants attempting to enter the country daily. Border Patrol sources report a staggering 79,000 known individuals who successfully crossed into the U.S. since the beginning of the fiscal year on October 1st, marking them as 'got aways.'

Sheriff Lamb emphasizes that the border crisis is not limited to Eagle Pass alone. In the Tucson sector, which he oversees, similar incidents occur frequently, with armed individuals crossing into the U.S. The Tucson sector accounts for the majority of the recorded 'gotaway' cases.

During a recent joint operation between local law enforcement and Border Patrol, Sheriff Lamb's team witnessed the dire situation firsthand. They embarked on a rescue mission to assist individuals left to perish by merciless cartels. Sheriff Lamb expressed shock at the overwhelming number of people present in the desert, many of whom were armed and led by coyotes.

As the festive season approaches, it is crucial not to overlook the severity of the national security threat presented by the crisis at the U.S.-Mexico border. Sheriff Lamb warns that Americans should be deeply concerned, as the border remains vulnerable to uncontrolled illegal immigration. Urgent action is needed to protect the nation and restore order to the border.
