The Bord Gais Energy Theatre has asked Dubliners to offer up spare rooms in their homes to cast members of touring shows that are coming to the capital to play at the venue.
In a post to the theatre's Instagram page, Dubliners who consider themselves a "supporter of the arts" were offered the opportunity to earn "some extra income" by offering a room for performers of shows playing at the Bord Gais.
In a statement, they said: "Are you a supporter of the arts? Do you have a spare room? Would you like to earn some extra income? If so, hosting a touring performer on tour might be the perfect solution for you.

"Touring companies are generally in Dublin for 1 to 3 weeks and due to the busy nature of a performers schedule, most of their time is spent in the theatre.
"When performers do have some down time, they simply want a friendly and affordable home from home.
"Bookings will be made directly with the homeowner, on a completely commission free basis.
"While there is no obligation to be available for every show, there will be ample opportunity to have guests stay with you as often as you wish."
Upcoming shows at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre include Waitress, School of Rock, The Cher Show, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Bat out of Hell and Sister Act.
Those who are interested in offering a room in their home can send an email to lauramay.barrett@bgetheatre.ie.
The comments section of the post contained mixed reactions to the callout. One Instagram user wrote: "As a touring technician when productions go international the producers are meant to provide accommodation in the form of a hotel or apartment."
