The Times of India in Melbourne: India’s Rohan Bopanna and China’s Shuai Zhang bowed out of the mixed-doubles quarterfinals of the Australian Open, falling to the Aussie pairing of John Peers and Olivia Gadecki before a near full-house at the KIA Arena.
Bopanna and Zhang, who started well, breaking early and taking control of the opening set, even had a match point in the match tie-break at 9-8. They however fell 6-2, 4-6, 9-11 in 68-minutes, bringing to an end the Indian challenge at Melbourne Park.
