Boots are set to make a major update to the way their Advantage Card scheme works - and it could affect millions of new and current customers.
The health and beauty retailer's card scheme is free and allows people to collect points as they shop and when they collect enough, they can pay their shopping with their points.
Shoppers can collect four points for every £1 they spend in store or online as well as getting access to exclusive deals.

In addition to this, shoppers receive personalised offers through the Boots app and can get their Health & Beauty magazine for free rather than paying for it.
However access to these benefits and other - including their Parenting Club, Over 60s Rewards, Boots X and Student Discount - could soon be stopped.
This is because Boots has announced in an e-mail to its customers that they are set to wipe points from accounts that "haven't been used for one year."
The change is set to come into affect on June 20 2022 and will see their current rules being changed from a two year period of inactivity to just one.

Updating their T&C's online the retailer added: "Boots will remove Boots Advantage Card points from registered Boots Advantage Card accounts that haven't been used for two years or have been closed. Please note, from Monday 20 June 2022, Boots will remove Boots Advantage Card points from registered Boots Advantage Card accounts that haven’t been used for one year, instead of the two years."
