Boots £10 Tuesday vs Amazon Spring Sale - where are the best beauty deals?

There’s nothing more annoying than when you think you’ve found yourself an absolute bargain, only to discover that it’s even cheaper elsewhere. But when it does happen, it serves as a reminder that you should really shop around to see if you can get a better price.

Today (Tuesday, March 28), the Amazon Spring Sale continues, with thousands of products across most categories reduced. And like every Tuesday, Boots have also reduced dozens of popular products to just £10 - many of which are also sold on Amazon.

So the question is, where can you find the best deals? We’ve compared prices of some of the best Boots £10 Tuesday offers to see if they’re cheaper in the Amazon Spring Sale - and it goes to show it does pay off to double check prices.

On the Boots website, the Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix Night Pads 60 were originally £19, but have been slashed to £10, making them just 6p per pad. On Amazon, you can buy the same pack of 60 for £10, but there’s also the option of an XXL pack of 100 of the same exfoliating pads for £11.50 instead of £22.95, which may seem like a better deal, but the pads actually work out at 8.7p each, meaning that the pack of 60 at either Boots or Amazon is cheaper.

Other products that are the exact same price at both Boots and Amazon today include the NIVEA Cellular Luminous 630 Anti Dark Spot Night Cream, with 57 per cent off the Tampax Heavy Flow Menstrual Cup, too, both now £10 on both sites.

Some deals, such as Boots own brands, are only available on the health and beauty retailer’s website, so they are where you’ll find them cheapest. For example, the No7 Laboratories Line Correcting Booster Serum is usually £34.95 but is down to £10; a huge saving you won’t find anywhere else. Similarly, The White Collection dressing gown is down to £10 from £30.

Some of the products available in the Boots £10 Tuesday deal are cheaper than on Amazon, such as the Maybelline Eyebrow Gel Tint, which is £10 at Boots, but £11.11 at Amazon. But then you do have to consider the postage fees.

Amazon Prime members can get their order the very next day for no additional cost, while Boots’ next day delivery costs £4.95, which bumps up the price of your product. Standard delivery is £3.75, while Click and Collect is £1.50 if you don’t meet the free threshold, which actually makes Amazon cheaper unless you’re buying more than one item at Boots to balance out the shipping costs.

That said, for a limited time you can use the code MYMAKEUP5 on the Boots website to get free standard delivery when you spend £15 on selected items from Maybelline, MYX, L’Oreal and Essie, as well as snagging 5 per cent off.

While Boots do have some exclusive £10 Tuesday deals that you can’t find on Amazon, the Spring Sale on the global retailer also has hundreds of deals that you can’t get at Boots - so it hugely depends on what you’re looking for as to whether you’re getting a bargain.

The Amazon Spring Sale sees huge savings on brands like Elemis, Elizabeth Arden and Urban Decay. You can find all of the Spring Sale beauty deals here. Meanwhile, Boots £10 Tuesday sale will run until midnight tonight, with all of the top picks here.
