Boonsong granted temporary release to attend mum's funeral

Former commerce minister Boonsong Teriyapirom was granted temporary release from prison to attend his mother's funeral, Wuttichai Jenwiriyakul, director of the Klong Prem Central Prison, confirmed on Tuesday.

The prison chief made the comment after photos of the convict showing up at his mother's funeral in Chiang Mai on Monday were shared online.
