A fresh survey of 2,000 Americans has revealed a stark generational divide over how UFO news is influencing belief in extraterrestrial life, with 54 per cent of Gen Z saying recent coverage has made them believe more in aliens, compared with just 23 per cent of baby boomers.
The Talker Research poll, conducted online between 1 July and 6 July 2026, also found that 60 per cent of respondents think governments know more about UFOs than they have publicly disclosed, underscoring widespread suspicion that the official record is incomplete.
