Not too long ago, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow shut down the idea he would appear on Netflix’s “Quarterback” show during its second season.
But there appears to be some momentum going in the other direction now.
According to Fox 19’s Jared Goffinet, former Bengals quarterback Boomer Esiason just hopped on his WFAN morning show and said the following while talking about Giants quarterback Daniel Jones possibly going on the show: “It sounds like Joe Burrow is doing the ‘Quarterback,’ by the way.”
That’s not official confirmation or anything, but it does directly counter what Burrow recently told onlookers about how he might consider the show in the future, but didn’t want to during what was supposed to be his first normal summer (before the ankle injury).
Still, fans and others have speculated that all possible show candidates have been directed to deny connection to it in order to keep the hype of a surprise reveal high.
And given Burrow’s plight with the injury comeback and contract negotiations, he would make for one of the best possible storylines for the show.
All Bengals fans can do is wait and see.
